What is an AMAP?

An AMAP (Association pour le Maintien d'une Agriculture Paysanne) is a partnership between a group of consumer actors and a farm (farm, peasant or peasant) leading to a sharing of harvest of farm products.

The Amapien (ne) s sign a solidarity contract, and pay in advance all of their consumption over a defined period. 

This system therefore operates on the principle of the trust and responsibility of the consumer actor; it represents a form of short distribution circuit.

Tinctilis is:

• for the consum'actor, organic dye plants , produced locally , from plant varieties adapted to our regions;

• a fair price for both partners.

Tinctilis participates in the social and solidarity economy, according to the following criteria:

• a direct link, without intermediary , between the producer and the consumer actor;

• the consum'actors commit themselves in advance , for a production season;

• they share the climatic hazards which can modify downward or upward, the quantity of products calculated and planned by the producer;

• the price of the basket is calculated according to production costs and not to the weight of the goods.

The lilac micro-farm , the peasant woman, retains independence from the distribution system; As for the consumer-actors, they can directly follow, influence the cultivation method and suggest other productions or harvests to the peasant woman.

Tinctilis and the lilac micro-farm also have the following ambitions:

• promote dialogue around the local production of dye plants or natural fibers;

• respect biodiversity;

• better manage land and maintain fertile land;

• act for employment, by helping the installation of new farmers;

• set up activities on the farm, by promoting the educational component on nature, the environment and the textile industry;

• contribute to reducing energy consumption by using local products, produced manually;

• re-involve the consum'actor in his consumption choices.

How does it work ?

The partnership is ensured by a committee of volunteers who participate in the operation of AMAP.

Its functions are to ensure the link with the producer for communication and information, to find other consumer actors, to take registrations, to organize distribution, etc.

Producer and consumer'actors are bound by a contract in which the farmer undertakes to provide the consumer'actors with baskets of farm products at a fixed period at a fair price defined in full transparency, while the consumer'actors '' undertake, in full knowledge of the various constraints, to take turns on duty at the reception of the distribution, or even to carry out occasional group tasks on the farm (weeding, harvests, etc.).

The steps to be part of AMAP Tinctilis and order baskets:

You must join the association and reserve your baskets via HelloAsso : helloasso.com 

- Search for AMAP Tinctilis on the site,

- proceed to join the AMAP (20 € / year) via Hello Asso by filling out the form.

- Add if necessary the options proposed to pay the shipping costs corresponding to the desired basket (s).

- Pay for your membership by credit card via the HelloAsso platform (you can freely choose your contribution to the functioning of the platform).

- Complete the solidarity engagement contract via the link that will be provided to you.

- You will receive by e-mail the password to pay for your baskets online via the website of the micro-ferme des Lilas (payment by credit card or PayPal).

The contracts offered by the Micro-ferme des lilas , cultures certified AB by Ecocert:

Persicaria indigo pigment (persicaria tinctoria) paste : 

Cultivated by hand and on a small surface, the plants are extremely well cared for. The leaves are harvested manually in the summer, before flowering to obtain a beautiful blue pigment. The pigment is extracted by cold maceration, a process that does not consume energy. The water used for maceration and extraction naturally returns to the earth after settling and filtration of the pigment. The entire process is environmentally friendly.

The pigment is marketed in the form of a paste: it contains a large part of water (about 80%), but the pigment retains its original ultra-fine particle size which allows it to dissolve excellent in indigo tanks and avoids the delicate task. paste of a dry pigment.

Dry plants:

The gaude (reséda luteola) is a generous plant, source of a solid and luminous yellow. The aerial parts are harvested at the time of flowering, from June to July, chopped into small pieces and quickly dried in a dryer. 

Cosmos flowers (sulphurous cosmos) are also grown and harvested from July to September for their beautiful orange tone. 

Madder which will be harvested for the first time in the fall of 2021. It will be distributed cut into sections.

Other picking plants are also provided in the dry plant baskets: tansy, alder catkins, Indian rose petals, walnut stain, etc.

The distributions of the baskets:

There will be 4 distributions in 2021:

• one in the spring during the AMAP festival on the farm;

• an early November for the indigo baskets. It is done on the farm;

• at the beginning of December for the baskets of various dry plants and the gaude. It is done on a point in Paris.

• in February for the baskets of madder, on a point in Paris.

For members who cannot travel, it is also possible to send by post (additional shipping costs payable by the member). In this case, it is imperative to notify the AMAP office either at the time of membership, or 15 days before distribution.

It is also possible to make a withdrawal at the farm within 30 days .
